In today’s vlog I’m taking you along for a proper homey day of Christmas prep – the kind of day that makes the evenings feel all twinkly and cosy. We’ve already put the tree up (I’m always super early with it!), but I wanted to finish off the little bits: swapping out our rugs for the big Christmas rug and kitchen runners, putting up the wreath above the oven hood, and switching our usual arrangement for a more festive one. We’ve gone really traditional this year with reds, golds, berries, bows and lots of lights, and honestly it just makes the house feel so warm. I also unbox and try on a big Halara haul – from my absolute favourite SoftlyZero™ crossover pocket leggings (I live in them) to stretchy “looks-like-denim” jeans, a matching denim-style jacket, a bright jumpsuit, yoga tops with thumb holes, and some ridiculously comfy trousers that feel like leggings but look smarter. Then I sit down and run through my “Prep-miss” planning: how I break Christmas down week-by-week so it doesn’t feel overwhelming, from booking the food shop and days out to sorting advent calendars, Christmas bedding, jumper day, decluttering and personalised orders. We finish the day with Caleb’s first secondary school parents evening (very positive!) and a cosy family night in with Traitors.
