In this Christmas in London vlog, I’m making some festive memories in two parts. First up, I take just my two older boys (they’re 12 and 15) into London for a proper “big boys” day, because they’re not really into the little-kid Christmas stuff anymore (no Santa grottos or pantos for us!). I booked us ice skating at Somerset House, and honestly it was such a fun way to get them out of the house, off the screens, and doing something Christmassy together. We then popped into Harrods to the Salon de Parfums, which was such a lovely little add-on. A few days later, it’s Matt’s birthday, so we head back into London for a festive walk and a night away (his mum is amazing and has the kids overnight). Matt isn’t really into gifts, so we always prefer an experience, and this day was exactly that—lots of walking (27,000 steps!), Ivy Asia for sushi and a spicy margarita for me, then a trip to Chinatown because Matt really wanted a bubble waffle ice cream. We finish the night back at our hotel in Shoreditch, watching Emily in Paris and enjoying the novelty of a quiet evening before the Christmas craziness kicks off.
