Hi guys, welcome to my Christmas house tour after our renovation. This year I did it a bit differently and filmed it once everything was actually up, so you can properly see the finished look. I start outside with our new porch décor (we’ve switched it up after five years of reusing the same base) and I’ve gone for greens and golds, plus cluster lights on the peaks and big lit-up wreaths. Inside, the hallway is very “wow” this year with black and gold stair garlands right down to the floor, twig lights, bells and black bows, and it honestly makes the space feel so special when it’s usually quite plain. I take you through our boot room, my gift-wrapping station (inspired by those American homes with whole wrapping rooms!), and the archway garland with mistletoe for when people are saying goodbye. My favourite bit is the main tree and fireplace corner — I’ve gone really traditional with red and gold, lots of berries, big flowers, and our personalised stockings. I also share the little touches that make it feel like “us”, like the boys’ school-made decorations, family baubles (I get a new one every year), the advent calendars, and the Ruggable Christmas rugs. Because we’re hosting Christmas this year (about 16 people!), I show the table area, kitchen details like the wreath on the oven hood, paper stars, bow tea towels, and our hot chocolate station. Then we head upstairs for Christmas bedding (Next is my go-to) and a few subtle festive touches in our bedroom, plus a quick look at the gym, guest bathroom, and the quieter front room for when family want a break from the chaos.
