In this episode of Motorcycle Rewind we tackle the gas tank from the Silver Bullet — a 1983 Honda C70 Passport. At first glance the tank looked rough… but once we started cleaning it up we realized the truth. Rust had eaten straight through the metal. We're not talking surface rust. We're talking full-blown Swiss cheese. Rather than give up on the tank, we decided to try a combination repair using JB Weld and POR-15 tank sealer to patch the holes and seal the inside. Is it the perfect fix? Probably not. But sometimes the goal is simple: Make it hold fuel and ride the bike.
