This little Honda Trail bike is slowly but surely making its way toward the campground, and today we’re tackling another piece of the puzzle: the cracked side cover. Instead of hunting down another old brittle plastic part, we decided to repair what we had. We started by using the Katerk cordless plastic welder to stitch the cracks back together, then added a thin coat of body filler, followed by a whole lot of sanding to get everything shaped and ready for paint. Thanks to the Honda CT110 group on Facebook, we got a great recommendation for the paint match: Dupli-Color DE1607, which is a surprisingly close match for the Tahitian Red on this 1980 Honda CT110.
