In this episode, we replace the original selenium rectifier with a modern solid-state bridge rectifier to give the charging system a new lease on life. The stock Honda CB350 charging system was barely adequate when new, and the original selenium rectifier doesn’t do the bike any favors after 50+ years. We walk through the removal, wiring, and installation of a full-wave 50V bridge rectifier and test charging output at the battery. It’s a simple upgrade that keeps the bike reliable while honoring the legacy of a true classic.
