What started as a “Honda CB350 engine” quickly turned into something else entirely… After pulling the side cover and noticing there was no electric starter, we took a closer look and realized this is actually a Honda SL350 engine — which might be exactly what we need for one of the SL builds. But getting inside wasn’t easy. This engine was completely stuck and did NOT want to come apart. It took everything we had — two hammers, a block of wood, and the trusty pipe wrench — to finally persuade it to break free. Once inside, we uncovered even more surprises… including an oversized piston, meaning this engine has been rebuilt at some point in its life. Now the mission is clear: Clean, sort, and figure out exactly what parts we have so we can bring TWO Honda 350 engines back to life.
