In this episode, we begin the engine swap from our rough 1972 Honda CB350 donor bike into the beautiful 1971 Honda CB350 with Derby Green Metallic paint. Before any wrenching happens, both bikes get a much-needed cleaning. The 1971 CB350 gets washed down so we can prep the frame for paint in a future episode, and the donor bike gets cleaned up so pulling the engine doesn’t turn into a greasy disaster. Once everything dries, it’s time to start the real work. We walk through the engine removal step by step, pulling parts, disconnecting what needs to be disconnected, and slowly working our way toward getting the donor engine out of the frame and onto the engine stand. By the end of this episode, the 1971 CB350 has a clean frame ready for paint, and the donor engine is out and ready for the next phase of this Honda 350 rescue.
