In this episode we finally install the engine back into the beautiful Derby Green Metallic 1971 Honda CB350. This motorcycle has been patiently waiting its turn and today we start putting the pieces together one bolt at a time. Of course the last 10% of any motorcycle project somehow takes longer than the first 90%. After wrestling the engine into the frame we install the coils, start tidying up the wiring, rebuild the factory air filters using fresh UNI foam, and make a growing list of all the little parts I still need to dig out of the CB350 stash hidden away in the attic. It may not look like a huge leap forward, but this is the kind of progress that finally turns a pile of parts back into a motorcycle. Every little job gets us one step closer to hearing this old Honda run and eventually riding it down the road again. The Derby Green Metallic paint keeps looking better every time another piece goes back on this bike.
