In the last episode, we cleaned it up, wet sanded the old paint, buffed it, polished it, and brought a surprising amount of shine back to this vintage Honda tank. But shiny paint has a funny way of making every dent and ding stand out even more. So today, we’re breaking out the PDR kit — paintless dent repair — and seeing just how much we can improve this old SL350 tank without repainting it. This is not a quick process. It’s hot glue, pull tab, let it cool, hook up the puller, give it a tug, clean off the glue, and do it all over again. And again. And again. Will we make it perfect? Probably not. Will we make it better than before? That’s the goal. Sometimes saving old parts isn’t about making them brand new.
