About This Video

Hello my lovelies — in this video I’m taking you through my August 2020 bullet journal setup. I kept this month intentionally clean and simple because I’ve been having a really rough time emotionally (pregnancy hormones, prenatal depression/anxiety, and just a lot going on). So rather than overcomplicating it, I used my tracing method: I pulled a few images from Pinterest and traced them, and I even traced my lettering using fonts from dafont.com. It’s such an easy way to get something pretty on the page when your brain just hasn’t got the energy to “be creative” from scratch. I also talk quite openly about mental health and why structure has been saving me lately. My bullet journal is helping me keep perspective with spreads like productivity tracking, health & habits, and especially my “what I did” and “today I’m feeling” pages. I like tracking how I feel morning/afternoon/evening because my emotions can change drastically through the day, and seeing patterns stops me spiralling into the “this will last forever” mindset. This video is also sponsored by Skillshare, and I share a journaling class I genuinely think is right up our street: “10 Reasons Why You Should Start Journaling.” If you’re struggling (pregnant or not), please reach out to someone — you don’t have to do it on your own.
