In this stream episode of Pokémon Pokopia, I’m basically still in my full-on obsession era (like… I’ve had the game for 4 days and somehow put almost 30 hours in already). I talk about why it’s hitting so hard for me: it’s literally Pokémon Crossing—Pokémon + Animal Crossing + Minecraft had a baby—and it’s sooo my genre. I’ve always loved Pokémon, but I never loved the fighting, so getting all the cozy vibes + Pokédex entries without the battle focus feels like the perfect solution. We do a bunch of comfy island management stuff: checking habitats, fixing my accidental “I made Hitmonman homeless” situation, and trying to make everyone happy with little decor upgrades (tables, lamps, plated food, berries, etc.). I meet new friends like Shellos and Prinplup, do Vespiqueen’s quiz + honey trades, and I’m still trying to solve my mystery water area where only half the habitat fills up. Then we take care of errands (like finally showing the professor my weird fossil hoard) and I give Drifloon an Eevee doll, which unlocks a Dream Island trip—and I immediately start freaking out over how huge it is and how badly I want to loot everything (hi windmill).
