This stream is basically me showing off my new favorite stream toy: a capture-card 3DS setup so we can do cozy little DS/3DS moments together. We start with a Nintendogs check-in (because I can’t ever shut my mouth about anything and I missed this era), and I immediately remember why it’s iconic: baths, brushies, butt scratches, and my dog Charlie acting like I abandoned her for two years… because I did. I also test audio/levels, tweak my scenes so it’s not mega cropped, and we talk about bringing back a “check on Charlie” channel point redemption so we can do these tiny comfy intermissions on stream. Then I go full nostalgic gamer brain and chat about my growing DS library (Animal Crossing, the Mamas, Rhythm Heaven, etc.) and why I’m excited to make more DS-focused YouTube content—especially the “retro, fall asleep to” kind of vibes. I also explain what my capture card install cost me (yes, I blacked out a little at the total) and what I learned about region unlocking, USB-C charging, and why Nintendo will probably be mad no matter what.
