Happy Friday, chat — I had a full room today because the pals were visiting, so we did the only reasonable thing: busted out Mario Party 2 IRL to celebrate hitting 7k followers over on Twitch. We played on an original N64 cart through an Analogue 3D setup, with a mix of 8BitDo analogue controllers and Nintendo wireless N64 controllers (not affiliated, just cozy nerd behavior). The vibes were very “International Every Girl Wednesday” (??) and very “rated G for gay,” aka exactly my brand. We picked Mystery Land (problematic map incoming), refused to learn the rules like true professionals, and immediately started beefing over coins, curses, and who’s allowed to be Wario (no). There’s a lot of mini-game chaos: button-mashing misunderstandings, “practice” that absolutely did not help, and me making important gamer observations like “I should get 10 coins for winning coin games” and “the GameCube controller is elite.” If you want comfy friend energy, nostalgic N64 sounds, and a long Mario Party session that slowly turns into betrayal with a blankie on, this one’s for you.
