we are finally returning to the fields (no more yearning ok!!). in this stream i hop back into Fields of Mistria for the 4th major update and we go through the patch notes together—because i’m obsessed with this game and i genuinely think it deserves to be in the same room as stardew valley (and coral island). i talk about what’s new (and what i’m excited/terrified about), like progressing the mines quest line into the ruins biome, the new secret bachelorette, and a bunch of quality-of-life stuff that makes the cozy grind feel smoother. then i load up my save (winter, year 3… oopsie, 150 hours…) and we do a little “wait how do i control my own hands again” moment while i check on my farm. i show off my animals (the breeding + color tiers are soooo fun—gold tier five, seasonal tier six) and explain why i play this game offline/while traveling: it’s my flight-anxiety comfort game on steam deck. we end up doing farm chores, setting up breeding for horses + ducks, and i decorate my room with a suspicious amount of plushies. overall takeaway: this update is packed, and i’m so ready for the road to 1.0 this year (allegedly).
