About This Video

I let chat decide what we were doing for this cozy late-night stream, and y’all voted for another Animal Crossing double feature—so we did GameCube Animal Crossing (2002) first, then swapped over to New Horizons (2020). In Townsville (my GameCube town), I mostly did my little daily routine: checking in, planting flowers for town perfection, hunting for my money rock/glowing spot, and trying to stay on top of the slowest money grind ever (especially when I forget turnips on Sunday… oops). We also talked about how cursed-but-iconic the old gyroids are, and I showed one of my favorite “old game” quirks: storage is literally a furniture item that holds three things. Three!! We used to suffer, besties. Then we pivot into my New Horizons world (High Garden) vibes—thinking about 3.0 “hotel stuff” and Happy Home Paradise plans, plus DIY trading party ideas with friends because I’m missing a ton of DIYs (don’t get my hopes up about moss DIYs, please). I also ramble about why going backwards in Animal Crossing can feel bare bones (Wild World was one of my most-played), how the real-time clock is both charming and a curse, and just generally keep it comfy even when I have low spoons. If you’re here for nostalgia, cozy background gameplay, and me sprinting around for no reason—this one’s for you.
