In this video, I’ll show you how to track Mailchimp lead form submissions using Google Tag Manager (GTM) — step by step. You’ll learn how to inject a custom listener code using the Custom HTML Tag in GTM to activate DataLayer events whenever someone submits a Mailchimp form. Once the DataLayer is active, you can send these events to Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, or any other ad platform for accurate conversion tracking and remarketing. 💡 What You’ll Learn: ✔ How to track Mailchimp form submissions using GTM ✔ How to use dataLayer.push() for Mailchimp events ✔ How to create GTM variables for form parameters like accountId, campaignId, variationId, and label ✔ How to send these parameters to your ad platforms (Google Ads, Facebook, etc.) ✔ How to verify your tracking setup in GTM Preview Mode ✔ Mailchimp GTM integration for eCommerce & lead generation ✔ How to optimize tracking accuracy and reduce data loss ✨ MD FAISAL AMIN — Tracking & Analytics Specialist GA4 • GTM • Meta CAPI • Server-Side Tracking Expert 👨‍💼 Work With Me 🔗 https://linktr.ee/mdfaisalaminbd 📅 Book a Free Website Tracking Audit 🔗 https://zcal.co/faialamindm/30min 🤩 Client Testimonials (Real Results) 🔗 https://youtu.be/0-6M7UT9z4M?si=207yqL8w5Z8jzv0M 💬 WhatsApp — Instant Chat 🔗 https://api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=8801726269000 📨 Telegram — Fast Response 🔗 https://t.me/webanalyticsfaisalamin 🔗 Connect With Me 🌐 Website: 🔗 https://mdfaisalamin.com 📧 Email: 🔗 faisalaminseomarketer@gmail.com ▶️ YouTube: 🔗 https://youtube.com/@mdfaisalamin 💼 LinkedIn: 🔗 https://linkedin.com/in/mdfaisalamindm 📘 Facebook: 🔗 https://facebook.com/mdfaisalamindm 🐦 Twitter (X): 🔗 https://twitter.com/mdfaisalamindm ☎️ Phone: 🔗 +88 01726269000 Mailchimp forms are often embedded in websites and can’t be tracked directly — this method solves that problem by using a lightweight listener that detects form clicks and sends the data to your DataLayer. About This Video

In this video, I show you how to track Mailchimp lead form submissions using Google Tag Manager (GTM) step by step. Mailchimp forms are often embedded or popup-based, so you can’t always track them directly with normal form triggers. That’s why I use a lightweight listener code inside a GTM Custom HTML tag, and I fire it on All Pages. The main goal is simple: when someone submits (or clicks through) the Mailchimp form, I push a clean event into the dataLayer so GTM can catch it reliably. After the dataLayer event is active, I test everything in GTM Preview Mode (Tag Assistant) and then extract the important parameters like accountId, campaignId, variationId, campaign name/label, etc. From there, you can send the same event to any ad platform you want—Google Ads, Facebook (Meta), TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest—whatever you are using for remarketing and conversion tracking. I also mention two ways to capture user information: either scraping method (I have other videos on that) or a hook/JS approach where you collect the data and send it to your target platforms. Once the event is available in GTM, setting up Google Ads Conversion Tracking or a Facebook Pixel custom event is a straightforward process.
