In this video, I show you how you can track Klaviyo (Clavio) lead/signup forms using Google Tag Manager—without needing a developer. First, I verify the form is actually a Klaviyo form by inspecting it in the browser and checking the element/live profile. Then I use a Custom HTML tag in GTM to activate a dataLayer push so we can automatically capture the key values like form_id (and also email, if needed) when the Klaviyo form is submitted. After that, I go into GTM Preview (Tag Assistant) to test the setup on the website. I submit the form, then I copy the custom event name and the parameters directly from the dataLayer. From there, I show the exact workflow to send this event to ad platforms—starting with Facebook (Meta) using the Facebook tag template, adding object properties like form_id, and building the custom event trigger based on the Klaviyo form submission event name. I also explain why sending email can be tricky and how I hash the email in GTM using a Custom JavaScript variable, so you can use the same approach for Google Ads, GA4, TikTok, Pinterest, or any other platform.
