Here we go—another trip. In this travel day vlog, I’m sharing the real “36 hours before a redeye” routine, because I found out only three days ago that I’m heading to New York tomorrow for a brand collab (and we’re also doing Austin and San Francisco this month). What they don’t tell you about these trips is they’re usually last minute… and yes, I still have a full-time job, so we’re doing the best we can. My biggest way to stay not stressed is simple: I make a packing list and I stick to it, so I’m not spiraling about what I forgot. I walk you through how I pack efficiently (airport outfit set aside, big hoodie because I’m going to try my best to sleep—even though I don’t sleep on redeyes), plus the little prep things that make a huge difference: hydrating with electrolytes/coconut water, cleaning the house so I can actually relax when I get home, washing the bed sheets because I love coming home to a clean bed, and packing vitamins + probiotics for my gut. I also share my wind-down routine with Renpho (LED mask + eye massager) after being on the computer all day. Before heading out, I nap, do quiet time, load up on hydration skincare (face mask before the plane, not on it), put on sunscreen because I’ll land at 5 a.m. NY time, braid my hair, and prioritize stretching since I’ll be sitting for five hours. I made it to the gate 30 minutes before boarding—tired, but prepared.
