Singapore travel vlog! Here is a foodie vlog as I share with you some of the best food we ate in Singapore. We went to Maxwell Food Centre as well as Newton Food Centre (Crazy Rich Asians) - two of the most popular hawker stands in Singapore. We were going to go to satay street but got a little too tired since we landed in Singapore super early and had an early flight the next day! About This Video

We’re in beautiful Singapore for a super quick 24-hour layover, and I was sweating like I’ve never sweat in my life. After a 17-hour flight, the mission was simple: eat, eat, and eat—and I’m sharing the good food and the not-so-good food too. We started right at Changi Airport with yakun kaya toast (sweet + salty with thick butter and kaya jam) plus the classic set with poached eggs and milk tea. I rated it a 3.5/5 and my biggest regret is not buying kaya jam to bring home because it’s honestly so good. From there, we hit two of Singapore’s most popular hawker centers: Maxwell Food Centre and Newton Food Centre (yes, the Crazy Rich Asians one). At Maxwell, I waited in line for Hainanese chicken and got a little upsold (bok choy moment), but the chicken was super soft—even if the broth rice could’ve been more flavorful. We also tried sugar cane juice, explored the reality of hawker stall hours (so many places were randomly closed), and I shared a practical tip: there are basically no napkins, so bring wipes. Newton was emptier in the afternoon, but I still waited 30 minutes for oyster pancakes… and it ended up tasting like fried dough with oysters on the side. Overall, nothing was life-changing, but it was a fun, honest Singapore food day—tell me what we must try next time.
