Reading A Court of Thorns and Roses series for the first time! I'm trying the most hyped fantasy romance book (romantasy book series) to see if it's worth it. The last book was a bit too dark and too spicy for me so I can't say I recommend it... but here are my honest thoughts on all 5 books of ACOTAR :) 🌹ACOTAR: https://amzn.to/4oLGC9g 🌌 ACOMAF: https://amzn.to/4oIdvDD 🏹 ACOWAR: https://amzn.to/3LJ4MT6 ❄️ ACOFAS: https://amzn.to/3LFq6Je 🔥 ACOSF (way too spicy for me ‼️): https://amzn.to/3M3eyzr ♡Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mayaleex3/ ♡TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@mayaleex3 ☆My Amazon Storefront: https://www.amazon.com/shop/mayaleex3?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsfshop_JT9S0VGBWNTWWMXDVA06 🇯🇵Get my 4-day Hokkaido, Japan itinerary here: https://mayaleex3.gumroad.com/l/lelrg 🇯🇵Get my 7-day Japan itinerary here: https://mayaleex3.gumroad.com/l/kbfwp 🇰🇷Get my 7-day Korea itinerary: https://mayaleex3.gumroad.com/l/puxkq 🌎Chicago: https://mayaleex3.gumroad.com/l/mnvdip 🌎NYC: https://mayaleex3.gumroad.com/l/otgoln ☆Free 63 credits on Classpass for different workout classes: https://classpass.com/refer/EVA2NVKA28 ☆Get 80,000 points by signing up for the AMEX Platinum card: https://americanexpress.com/en-us/referral/platinum-card?ref=MAYALatn2&XL=MIANS ☆Earn 60,000 bonus points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card: https://www.referyourchasecard.com/19q/9XHUX0QJ9A ☆BILT rewards card for paying rent: https://www.biltrewards.com/card/referral/5JO1-7KN0 ✉ Business inquiries: mayaleex3@gmail.com

About This Video

I finally read A Court of Thorns and Roses for the first time—and yes, I bought the whole series without reading it first, which was… risky. This vlog is completely spoiler-free, but I walk you through my honest, book-by-book experience with all five ACOTAR books: what pulled me in, what felt slow or cliché, and which moments genuinely made me tear up (I don’t really cry in books, so that says a lot). I also tested immersive reading with the dramatized audiobook + Kindle reading, and I shared my little annotation setup with tabs and transparent Post-its. My biggest takeaway: for me, ACOTAR book 1 was mostly world-building and didn’t hook me until the last 20%, but book 2 (ACOMAF) felt like payoff perfection—sweet, romantic, and emotionally satisfying (chapter 54… enough said). Book 3 (ACOWAR) was more war/politics and a bit slower in pockets, but still a fun adventure. Book 4 (ACOFAS) is basically slice-of-life postwar vibes. And book 5 (ACOSF) was way too spicy/smutty for my taste—even as a married woman, as a Christian I try to be mindful of what I’m taking in—though I will say the ending redemption arc was beautiful.
