It’s summertime, and as a teacher, this is the season I look forward to all year—early mornings, a little more margin, and building habits that actually stick. In this video, I’m sharing my summer morning routine (with a tiny glimpse of my night routine too), from waking up early, taking care of Bam Bam, and getting out the door for a 7:30 workout. I’m still challenging myself with Pilates (it’s hard, okay), but I love the reminder that growth happens when we push past comfort. After my workout, I head to the grocery store and do a simple breakfast meal prep: freezer-friendly breakfast burritos that make mornings so much easier—especially because my husband leaves for work at 5:30 a.m. I also make a caffeine-free golden milk/turmeric latte (almond milk tastes best, I tested it), and then I slow down for “breakfast with Jesus,” reading my Bible while I eat. And yes… I’m also officially a reader now. I got hooked on contemporary romance books (romcoms in book form), read four books in a week, bought a Kindle, and I’m tracking everything on Fable because the UI is just cute. My biggest takeaway this summer: do what you need to do first, practice delaying gratification, and then enjoy the fun—balance matters.
