One of the hardest parts of homeschooling isn’t the teaching—it’s deciding what actually matters today, especially when you’ve missed days, life gets heavy, or you’re in a different season than you planned for. I walk you through how I prioritize our subjects so I’m not trying to treat every box on the checklist like it carries the same weight. I share what comes first in our homeschool (Bible), why I like to do math early and get it done, and which subjects I personally don’t like to fall behind on—and why. I also explain how flexibility is built into our homeschool by design, what I do when we miss too many days, and how I adjust without spiraling into panic. I even give a real example of catching up on Charlotte Mason “enrichments” in a way that serves our family instead of stressing everyone out. If homeschool feels heavy right now, I want this to give you permission to simplify and focus on what matters most.
