When I first started homeschooling, I truly thought I had to get everything “right” for my kids to learn well—like I needed to nail down each child’s exact learning style, build a Pinterest-perfect homeschool room, and follow every curriculum to the very last page. And if I’m being honest, I also felt that constant pressure of watching what other homeschool families were doing and wondering if I was behind. In this video, I share what I’ve learned after more than 10 years of homeschooling: a lot of the things we stress about actually matter far less than we think. I talk through why learning styles don’t need to become a label, why a fancy setup isn’t the secret ingredient to a peaceful homeschool, why it’s okay to pivot or quit a curriculum that isn’t serving your family, and why comparison steals joy (and usually isn’t based on the full story anyway).
