For years, I’ve been chasing other people’s stories—characters, campaigns, client moments—and I genuinely loved it. But at some point it started to feel too familiar, and I realized I hadn’t picked up a camera in months… at least not in the way I used to. In this cinematic short film, “In Between” (shot on the Sony FX3), I’m processing that shift: moving from being the creator to being the builder, and what it costs when your whole life becomes client work and screens. This past year I made a clean pivot. I’ve kept the “running” going, but my focus has been fully on building Her Film School—creating a safe space for female filmmakers to learn, grow, and step into creative business ownership. It’s meaningful, and it matters, but it can also be lonely. The film is my reminder (and yours) that time isn’t the enemy—time is the path—and that even if you’ve left something behind, you can always begin again. Maybe, just maybe, you are the story you’ve been waiting to tell.
