About This Video

For the past three years I’ve run a six-figure film production company, and on paper that sounds like the dream. But day-to-day, running a team and managing constant problem solving left me with basically zero time for the creative endeavors I still had internally. In this video I’m being a little selfish (in the best way): I want to look back a year from now and see what changed, because it took me a solid six months to go from “client work + employees + office every day” to making one clear decision. I decided to cut off most client work and become my own client—by building Her Film School for female filmmakers. I talk about why I outgrew the idea of a “course” and shifted it into a live cohort: information alone is valuable, but implementation needs momentum, clarity, and someone to ask when questions pop up. So I’m rebuilding the curriculum, the funnel, the landing page, and my email training, bringing in guest mentors, and designing an 8-week program with group calls, direct chat access, and a 1:1 call with me. If you’re building something and it feels lonely sometimes, I want you to know you’re not alone—and that the impulse you feel usually has a deeper reason behind it.
