I’m officially back from vacation, and even though I came home to a clean apartment… the second those suitcases hit the floor, it turned into chaos. In this post-vacation reset vlog, I’m getting my life back in order: starting laundry, clearing the hallway/kitchen mess, and doing the kind of realistic reset that actually helps me feel like myself again. I’m also back on my audiobook vibe (I started The Tenant by Freida McFadden on the flight home), because a good book makes all the running-around errands feel way less long. I also needed to move my body again, so I headed to the gym for a quick, light cardio session—nothing crazy, just getting my steps in after basically rotting on the sofa the day I got back. From there, I got my nails sorted (they were fully busted, so I just paid to redo them) and did a small grocery run for fruit, veg, and bits for a curry coconut prawn idea I had—because I’ve been having a lot of carbs and I wanted something that would actually slap without being pasta. And yes, we need to talk about the hair. My braids weren’t even two weeks old and my natural hair was already peeking out because of a loose plait + way too much gel situation (disgusting, honestly). So I take you through how I re-plait the loose sections tighter, refresh my scalp without a full wash using the ORS Herbal Cleanse Dry Shampoo, and finish with a braid setting mousse to neaten everything up.
