About This Video

Hey guys — in this video I’m taking you with me through the very beginning of my knee surgery journey, from pre-op nerves in the hospital to those first couple of days recovering at home. I show you my hospital room, talk through exactly what surgery I had (keyhole/arthroscopy on my right knee to smooth out a cartilage flap and clean things up), and why I chose surgery over things like injections. I’m active and I just want to get back to training without that constant knee pain when I’m doing my little squats and stuff. I also keep it real about the waiting around, fasting (I was starving, babe), feeling drowsy after surgery, and what the first walk and toilet trip were like. You’ll see my first physio exercises, what my incisions looked like (two tiny holes), and what I was sent home with. Once I’m back home living alone, it’s all about managing stiffness, doing my exercises (they recommended three times a day), icing when I can, and making recovery easier with meal prep like overnight oats and cooked chicken so I’m not stressing about food while I heal. Recovery is 6–8 weeks, and I’ll be sharing updates as I go.
