About This Video

I had a very real “I have nothing to wear” meltdown while packing for a trip… and then realized the problem wasn’t my closet. It was my memory. I literally almost bought a black tank on Zalando, then found the exact same thing in my drawer. So I did what any annoyed engineer would do: I turned it into a build. The goal was simple—make a digital wardrobe that lets me inventory my clothes, search them with natural language (like “white sweater” or “wine red”), and stop wasting money on duplicates. In this video I go from problem → idea → app in under 24 hours using Lovable (yes, this is 100% vibe coding). I sketched quick designs in Miro, then prompted Lovable to generate a responsive web app where I can add items by uploading photos, tag them with details, and browse categories. The next day I wired it up to Supabase for real data storage, fought through some annoying permission issues, and got CRUD working—refresh the table and the item is actually there. Then I added outfit logic (so I can save combos like “autumn party”) and authentication so each user has their own closet. Some stuff still broke (profile + image loading + user-table linking), but the core app works—and I pushed the code to GitHub so I can clean it up and add image recognition later.
