About This Video

I’m in San Francisco for a couple of weeks, and I wanted to do a super real “code with me” — filmed on my phone, windy, cold, gloomy sky and all. I walk over to Polk Street (aka cafe heaven) and camp out at Philz, which is genuinely one of my favorite coffee spots in SF. The plan is simple: sit down, open the laptop, and make a few “small small changes” to my portfolio website — like fixing a button that literally doesn’t click to anything and updating the title. And then… classic me: I get distracted and end up watching random YouTube videos. So I switch environments and later continue from my brother’s office, where I get back into my Lex project (the conversational app I’ve been trying to build). I use v0 to generate a homepage direction, then I force myself to stop procrastinating by dumping every single technical task into Notion and reprioritizing it. Biggest takeaway: when your brain makes a project feel huge, write it down, break it up, and suddenly it’s not that deep. I also rethink my login flow because my old version was kind of stupid (wrong username = new user… why), so I run the UX idea through ChatGPT to sanity-check the security before continuing the build.
