About This Video

Happy Thanksgiving, friends. In this work-life diary, I’m sharing what it looked like to spend the holiday mostly on my own in NYC—something that feels a little different in my very, very, very late 20s when more people are partnered or with family. I talk through the quietness that can make the day feel extra still, then I lean into the reset: deep cleaning my apartment, catching up on editing, and trying to get my life together (at least a little). I also take you along to a creator event, a chaotic hunt for food with friends, and a cozy night where I make Viet food in “feed an entire family” portions—because I genuinely don’t know how to cook small. I also open up about seasonal changes and my mental state lately—stress, anxiety, and that weird in-between where I’m not sad, but I’m not “happy per se.” After a therapy session, I share what we landed on: I can’t solve every problem right now, and sometimes it’s okay to let things be “problems for the future.” Finally, I start packing for a multi-stop Asia trip (Guangzhou, Korea, Japan, Vietnam) while juggling work meetings, a late SF call, and finishing my semester—trying to make sure I’m actually present for this rare family trip.
