Hello friends, This was my first time in Japan, and I’m so excited to finally share this experience with you! We ate so much good food (lots of sushi, lots of mochi) and wandered around Tokyo. I even found a really beautiful vintage designer piece along the way. Editing this vlog definitely made me hungry all over again 🤤 This was also the family trip portion of my Asia travels, so if you want to see more Japan content with my family make sure to stay tuned over on the @doremigirlsofficial channel for those videos šŸ¤ Hope you enjoy this Tokyo eating and shopping vlog! xx, Julia [let's connect] instagram: https://www.instagram.com/julia.fei/ tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@julia.fei outfits: https://www.shopltk.com/explore/juliafei [previous travel vlogs] • https://youtu.be/NxOABuhk1OE?si=GHwaBA0VD2g9qWxv • https://youtu.be/vPQ0YOYYgT8?si=dTsCP16cOFHHzyva • https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLv2JdZGzeyp31GdFrVkbMYUhvFoMg7tXv&si=aP6XxP9u3G6kJTH7 [about me] Hi everyone my name is Julia ~ I'm a 20-something-year-old data scientist navigating through life in NYC. About This Video

This was my first time in Tokyo, and I basically treated it like a personal mission to eat as much good food (and mochi) as possible while also doing some very serious shopping. Even though it rained a lot, it honestly added to the vibe. I’m taking you through everything I ate—from thick, chewy noodles with a hearty broth, to an izakaya night where the yakitori completely stole the show (especially the chicken meatball with egg yolk… super rich and tender). I also tried yakiniku lunch sets, market snacks at Sensoji (the eel onigiri was 100% worth it), okonomiyaki (including the DIY version), and my favorite meal of the trip: a 20-course omakase with all-you-can-drink for 15,000 yen. On the shopping side, I wandered Ginza (love stationery, but it was honestly crowded and overwhelming), hit Shibuya for Gentle Monster frames, and went down the rabbit hole of Japan’s secondhand luxury scene. I was looking for a specific small Chanel backpack and… I kind of lucked out after walking into what felt like every vintage store in the area. I also did the classic Don Quijote haul—Japanese hair care is a must—and picked up cute little finds like a cinnamon roll charm, Chiikawa stationery, and a new Anker portable charger (because I somehow lost two chargers in three months).
