Happy 2026 🤍 I know it’s already the end of January, but better late than never, right? This year has honestly started off a little slow for me. I spent the first week and a half of January in Asia, and coming back to NYC life took more adjusting than I expected - catching up on work, getting over the jet lag, and easing back into my usual routine. This video is a little slice of that transition, along with some candid thoughts I had around motivation and the energy I want to bring into the new year. I would also love to hear about your new year goals/resolutions if you have any! Hope you enjoy watching, and thank you as always for being here. xx, Julia [let's connect] instagram: https://www.instagram.com/julia.fei/ tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@julia.fei outfits: https://www.shopltk.com/explore/juliafei [about me] Hi everyone my name is Julia ~ I'm a 20-something-year-old data scientist navigating through life in NYC. About This Video

Happy 2026 (even if it’s already the end of January). In this work-life diaries vlog, I’m easing back into NYC after spending the first week and a half of January in Asia, and the jet lag genuinely humbled me. I’m talking “team dinner → accidental nap → wake up at midnight → edit until 5am” levels of chaos, plus forcing myself to go to Pilates because I did not want to pay the $28 Club Pass cancellation fee. It’s basically a realistic slice of that post-travel transition—being hungry, being tired, and trying to act like I have a routine again. I also share some candid thoughts I had about motivation this year. For the first time, I didn’t sit down and meticulously journal all my New Year goals, and as someone who’s historically pretty type A, that felt strange. My motivation wasn’t gone—it was just softer, more behind-the-scenes, and it made me realize I don’t want 2026 to be a checklist. I kept coming back to a question instead: what kind of energy do I want to bring into 2026? My answer is movement, change, a little discomfort, and a “lighter” way of moving through the year—going with the current instead of fighting it—while still being intentional with my time, choices, and energy.
