Hello friends, This was the second stop of my Asia holiday tour (after a very brief visit to see my parents in Guangzhou), and I’m so grateful I got to experience a trip to Seoul with them. It was short, but incredibly sweet and fun — lots of good food, checking out cute cafes, shopping and simply being together. If you’re looking for ideas on what to do in Seoul, I hope this video gives you a little inspiration. About This Video

Good morning, friends, from Seoul. In this 48-hour travel vlog, I’m in Korea with my parents and I planned us a very loose itinerary that’s basically: yummy food, cute cafes, shopping, and a little sightseeing—aka my favorite kind of short trip. We start with salt bread (I’ve been wanting to try it because I missed it last time), iced lattes, and wandering around areas with really pretty hanoks before heading toward the palace. It’s a cozy, family-style trip where we’re just moving slowly, eating well, and laughing a lot. On day two, we’re staying at the Mondrian Hotel in Itaewon, and I grab breakfast from the basement bakery (plus a very real almost-30s moment: I buy a bunch of Korean hangover jellies and my mom is like, ā€œWhy’d you buy so much?ā€). We head to Gangnam for a hair + makeup session together—super fun, but a little tricky because of the language barrier—then go to Sangsu for pasta and do a self photo booth because we’re all glammed up. We end the trip with Namsan cable car (it’s freezing) and a quick mini haul of the exact pieces and beauty restocks I’m excited about before our early flight.
