Hello friends, I had such a special time in Taiwan. Not only did I get to eat some of my favorite foods and explore beautiful spots like Taipei, Shifen, and Jiufen — I also got to share it all with my parents. It’s not often we get to travel together, so being able to slow down, laugh, and make new memories with them meant the world to me. To add to that, I had the honor of attending a beautiful wedding and celebrating two friends as they started their next chapter together. The last time I was here, I actually vlogged but I was way too shy to post it. I still have the footage saved in a drive somewhere, and maybe one day I’ll muster up the courage to share it with you all so you can see pre-covid, dirty blond, pre-youtube young Julia. But until then, I hope you enjoy this vlog! xx, Julia [let's connect] instagram: https://www.instagram.com/julia.fei/ tiktok: https://www.tiktok.com/@julia.fei outfits (will update soon!): https://www.shopltk.com/explore/juliafei previous travel vlogs: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLv2JdZGzeyp31GdFrVkbMYUhvFoMg7tXv&si=S4vp8K5AeHgvTyey [friends] ‱ @chloeshih ‱ @TaylorBell [about me] Hi everyone my name is Julia ~ I'm a 20-something-year-old data scientist navigating through life in NYC. About This Video

This Taiwan travel vlog is basically me romanticizing the little in-between moments—getting ready, overthinking my makeup on camera (do I have eyebrow blindness? definitely blush blindness), and then spending the day bouncing between family time and wedding festivities. I’m in Taipei with my parents, and since they went off to walk around Shimen while I headed to the ceremony, I gave you a quick tour of our apartment (narrow hallway, two bedrooms, and a very “Taiwan shower” situation where you just close the door and stand there). It felt really special getting to slow down and travel with them, because we don’t get to do that often. Food-wise, I had a little daddy-daughter date for niurou mian (we love it), grabbed iced chrysanthemum tea, and did the very necessary “wash + blowdry” reset. I also showed my hanfu outfit from shopping with my mom—white and light green with pearl details—plus my go-to black Mary Janes that I always pack because they match everything. Later, we waited forever for the original bubble tea spot (40 minutes for takeout!), tried custard cakes (mine had no custard
), and ended the night with a basketball game and night market eats. The next day, we all matched in our new Onitsuka Tiger shoes and headed out for a super easy half-day trip to Shifen (and maybe Jiufen if we had the energy).
