About This Video

Happy new year, guys. In this vlog I’m showing you exactly how I started 2026—cozy, chatty, and very intentional. I hosted my family and kept it simple but solid: I made my famous Nigerian jollof rice, tried cinnamon rolls (yes, we waited for it to rise like our lives depended on it), made puff puff, fried yam, and we did barbecue/grilled catfish. I also shared a bit of real life behind the scenes—after cooking too much last Christmas and literally getting sick, I wasn’t about to overdo it again, so I used what I already had and even air-fried my meat because I’m protecting my peace this year. After the hosting and kitchen reset, I went into full “new year, new energy” mode—packed away all Christmas decor because we’re not in the festive period anymore, and it’s time to lock in. Then I tackled my personal space with a proper closet declutter: removing tight clothes, things I don’t fancy anymore, and creating space for new items (including gifts from my husband). I’m donating to family first and then charity/orphanage because people genuinely need it. I also showed a PR advent calendar from La Roche-Posay and talked about stacking products for a giveaway—please don’t rush me, I’m just a girl and I can’t do too much at the same time.
