January was one of those “back to my roots” months for me—cozy, a little chaotic, and very Portugal-coded because it was storm after storm after storm. In this video I set up my January monthly review in my square reading journal (my first time doing monthly reviews in this size!), using Runa Mareuty’s Snowflake Ballet theme with winter fairies. I walk you through my cover spread (collage moment, always) and my monthly reads page, plus a quick look at how I used leftover pages from my 2025 reading journal to make spreads for completed series—such a fun way to use up random stickers and tapes you’d otherwise never touch. Then we get into the actual January reading wrap-up: three books and a stack of manga/manas. I share my thoughts and ratings for God of War (Legacy of Gods finale), Broken Whispers (mafia arranged marriage perfection, honestly), and Phantom (a Cat & Mouse prequel that didn’t fully hit for me). After that, I switch to my updated manga/manas rating system—PEACE (thank you for the name!)—and review everything from Secretary Jin’s Confinement Journal to Vampire Homeless, including one DNF because the romance was a hard no for me. I also show how I used the Arrtx acrylic markers in practical ways—especially for stamping titles and getting super vibrant color in my spreads.
