In this March 2026 plan with me, I’m setting up my mom’s bullet journal with a minimal-but-whimsical spring florals theme—and apparently 2026 is the year of florals in her journal (not intentional, but I kind of love it). The “showstopper” is a wide pre-cut white floral PET tape, and I pair it with a green lace PET tape that has the prettiest subtle sparkle in real life. I also pull in thin, almost transparent daisy sticker paper so the dots of the page still peek through, plus a few butterfly and dragonfly stickers as the final little detail that ties everything together. To switch things up, I do waterfall tabs across the whole setup. It looks complicated, but it’s actually simple—you just have to triple check your cutting lines (learn from my mistakes). Because the journal is slightly smaller than A5, I keep the tab offset to 1 cm so I still have enough page space for functional layouts. I walk through a tall monthly calendar (since the first spread is the narrowest), four weekly layouts that gradually get roomier, and I finish with my usual monthly expenses table on the left and a “thoughts” page on the right (I’m not a “brain dump” title person). The big takeaway: you can keep a theme elegant and cohesive with just two tapes, consistent marker accents, and a tiny bit of intentional decoration.
