February was a mixed reading month for me—one surprise, one big letdown, and a whole lot of “that’s just how it is.” In this video I update my favorite journal (my reading journal) with everything I read in February, starting with a cozy monthly cover spread. I went with a Year of the Horse theme using stickers, stamps, tapes, and die-cuts from Ikigai Papir’s advent calendar, and I built the whole collage around the dark horse + girl sticker. I’m not a horse girly, but I loved the sky tones, the blend of palettes, and the little snake detail that feels like a transition between years. Then I set up my “covers page” and walk you through mini reviews + ratings for each read. For books: Terror at the Gates (4⭐) surprised me once the plot picked up (and that cliffhanger??), Hidden Truths (4.5⭐) fed my mafia era in the best way, and Bloody Heart (3⭐) was a letdown for me mainly because of trope choices. After that, I dive into my manga/manhwa pages—Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation vol. 3 (5⭐ forever), plus a bunch of manhwa that ranged from “okay” to absolute favorites like Cupid in the Rainbow Trap (5⭐) and Safe Partner (4⭐). The biggest takeaway: I love reading journaling because it lets me use my stationery stash and process my thoughts—even when a story is meh.
