In this video I put together the ultimate gift-giving guide for the bowlers in your life, especially if you’re scrambling for last-minute holiday ideas like I usually am. To keep it simple, I break everything down into four price tiers (in CAD, since we’re based in Vancouver, BC) and I include rough USD conversions too. The goal is to help you buy something that actually improves a bowler’s game, not just another random accessory. Under $50, I’m talking essentials every bowler should have: Abralon pads for quick surface changes (I like starting around 500 and going up to 3000–4000), a good bowling ball cleaner to prevent oil buildup, and shoe/slide accessories like a wire brush so you stay consistent when approaches get sticky or slippery. From $50–$150, I think the sweet spot is entry-level bowling shoes, a performance jersey, or a single-ball tote. At $150–$250, stepping up to a triple-ball roller or higher-performance shoes makes a huge difference, especially if you’re traveling for tournaments. For $250+, bowling balls are on the table — but since picking the “right” ball can be tricky, I call out the safest choice: a spare (polyester) ball. And my number-one gift that works for literally anyone? A gift card to a local pro shop or bowling center, so they can grab what they actually want.
