In this one I’ve got Barks back in the house and we’re doing a double feature with two brand new Track releases: the Track Synthesis and the Stealth Mode Hybrid. We’re on a 42-foot challenge pattern (left side pretty fresh), and I built the whole video around what I actually care about on tougher conditions: how soon the ball wants to roll, how it handles friction, and whether it gives me usable separation from what I already throw. I start by using my Paragon Shadow as the baseline because, for me, it’s the earliest rolling Track ball I own—and it can be too much when the front part of the lane is already showing friction. The Synthesis ended up being exactly what I was hoping for: a little cleaner than the Paragon Shadow, more responsive when it sees friction, and it carries better downlane (it was chopping those sevens out instead of leaving the flat stuff). I even moved a few boards right to square up and it still stayed longer and more continuous—very much in that Paragon/Criterion family I gravitate toward. Then I used the original Stealth Mode to set a baseline and switched into the Stealth Mode Hybrid. The Hybrid is clearly further down the lane and way more responsive off friction thanks to that HK22C + Cohesion and the Super Response Hybrid additives, but it’s also shiny out of box and I’m not always a fan of that over/under. For me, a quick 3000 scuff is usually the move to blend it out.
