In this video I put the brand new Roto Grip Gremlin Tour-X on the lanes and really try to figure it out with you on a fresh 42ft challenge pattern. Right away, Storm does not miss with these new balls, man. The Gremlin Tour-X gave me that “all business” look and, more importantly, a smooth, controlled shape that’s money on the fresh—earlier than the original Gremlin Pearl, but still nice and tame off the back end. I started around 17 at the arrows out to 10, made a quick one-board move, and it just held pocket really well while not flaring a ton (lower diff feel even though it’s asym). My guy Barks wanted the comparison to the ION Pro Solid because the core numbers are super close (ION Pro Solid 2.47/.035 vs Gremlin Tour-X 2.48/.034). On this fresh, the ION Pro Solid went a little longer and a little sharper, but covered fewer boards—flat 10s and a bit behind the headpin until there’s more lane wear. Then I brought out my favorite ball of 2026 so far, the Storm Bionic, and it out-hooked both by a couple boards with a stronger cover and more diff, even as a symmetric. Big takeaway: I’m starting tournaments with the Gremlin Tour-X or Bionic depending on the pattern, then stepping into the ION Pro Solid once things hook early and I need more float through the fronts.
