My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James For Collaboration and Business inquiries, please use the contact information below: 📩 Email: jlwreviews@gmail.com 🔔 Subscribe to my channel for more videos: http://www.youtube.com/jlwii2000 ===================== Disclaimer: We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage which is incurred from you acting or not acting as a result of reading any of our publications. About This Video

In this video I’m taking a close look at something I honestly never thought I’d see produced in HO scale: Broadway Limited’s Union Pacific Hump Power Car #2066. For over a decade I’ve been complaining that manufacturers needed to do the UP excursion cars, and the answer was always the same—too unique to justify tooling. Broadway Limited finally cracked the code by doing multiple variations (sound/no sound, antenna/no antenna, plus undecorated), so they can make the business case while still giving UP excursion modelers what we’ve been asking for. I do a first-take unboxing and a quick 360 on the details—separately applied grabs, tubular diaphragms (thankfully not those flat plated ones), MU hoses looped into the receptacles, roof details, window gasket outlines, and solid underbody compartments. Then I get into the numbers: the car body is 11.75 inches, and my sample came in at 7.1 oz, which clears NMRA suggested weight. On the track it’s basically a brick—in a good way—free rolling, smooth, and with no body wobble. From there I demo the sound and lighting. Track power starts the generator, and you use the BLI magnet to change volume (three levels) and start/stop. The interior lighting is flicker-free, touch-controlled, and dimmable with no shine-through that I could see—and yes, the non-sound versions still have the adjustable interior lighting. Overall, I’ve got no complaints, and if you’re modeling UP excursions, I’d grab one before they get scarce.
