In this quick short, I’m taking a first look at Broadway Limited’s N scale ES44ACs—an early 2026 release—and showing you what you actually get in the box. I unbox the Iowa Interstate version (clear lid, little flap, loco wrapped in plastic), and while I skip the handrail protector removal on-camera, that’s basically the whole unboxing process. From there I walk through the details that stood out to me: separately applied grab irons, magnetic glad hand couplers, a snowplow with a silver-tipped end accessory, and MU hose detail. One of my favorite little touches is the sight glass detail on the fuel tank compartment. I also give you a quick look at a couple other paint schemes, including the BNSF anniversary version (nice, clean paint—handrails stayed nice and straight) and the GE 5000th unit #7964 with that sharp yellow plus the PTC antennas up top. Then I show performance and lighting features: good slow-speed control, cab lights that come on under speed step three and turn off above that, plus flashing ditch lights. On the sound side you’ve got bell, horn, and 28 different sounds with Paragon 4. Overall, these are smooth units—definitely worth checking out at local retailers or online hobby shops.
