My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James For Collaboration and Business inquiries, please use the contact information below: 📩 Email: jlwreviews@gmail.com 🔔 Subscribe to my channel for more videos: http://www.youtube.com/jlwii2000 ===================== Disclaimer: We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage which is incurred from you acting or not acting as a result of reading any of our publications. About This Video

In this video I unbox and review the MTH One Gauge (G scale / 1:32) ES44AC, and yeah—this one showed up as a massive Trainworld.com box while I’m in the middle of scenicking, so the unboxing space is getting tight. It’s a full-on “Russian nesting doll” situation with the packaging, but once you finally get to the locomotive, it’s all about that modern diesel presence: big, heavy, and basically like an HO-scale level of detail scaled up to G. I didn’t even plan this review—I had a total FOMO moment when I saw the stock numbers dropping and hit “order now or never.” On the track, I run it on DCC (MRC Prodigy Advance2 Squared Elite) and go through the key Proto-Sound 3.0 features: F3 start-up/shut-down, directional lighting, lit numberboards, cab lighting, and ditch lights that flash with the horn (which you can apparently adjust in DCS, though I’m not running DCS here). I also demo some of the sound set like the MTH “dispatcher” announcements (F4), cab chatter, the grade crossing sequence, and the remotely operated couplers (F7/F8), which is honestly a great feature for large scale when you don’t want to be right on top of the action. I wrap up with a close look at the details—metal grab irons/handrails, see-through grilles in spots, roof antenna array, and even the opening cab door with smoke/volume adjustments—and my hope that strong sales push MTH into more one gauge/G scale modern power and rolling stock.
