My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James For Collaboration and Business inquiries, please use the contact information below: 📩 Email: jlwreviews@gmail.com 🔔 Subscribe to my channel for more videos: http://www.youtube.com/jlwii2000 ===================== Disclaimer: We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage which is incurred from you acting or not acting as a result of reading any of our publications. About This Video

In this video I’m taking a look at Broadway Limited’s updated Paragon4 HO scale F-units—F3, F7, and F9s—with a big focus on the Norfolk Southern OCS versions and what those units later became on museums and tourist railroads. I’ve got a ridiculous lineup here (10 units total), so the format is a little different than my usual full deep-dive review, but I still walk you through the unboxing, what’s included (manual, function list, maintenance diagrams, etc.), and then we get into the updates that actually matter on these refreshed releases. Detail-wise, I show off things like the LED headlights and ditch lights, separately applied grabs, fine etched-metal windshield wipers, clean-looking etched grills (without that annoying warping), and the roof-specific details like the antenna layouts and those mufflers that you basically didn’t get correctly on older F-unit models unless you went brass. Then I run them and do a quick pull test: the A unit pulls about 5 oz (roughly 75 freight cars HO scale), and a single powered B unit is around 2.35 oz (about 30–40 cars). They’re smooth operators, they seem speed-matched really well out of the box, and you get nice lighting behavior like the cab light shutting off once you’re moving—plus Paragon4 sound features like alternate horns and added capacitance.
