The TCS WOW Sound decoder has several pages of functions, and buried in there is a feature that’s honestly pretty neat: station announcements. Not just generic noise either—these are specific, full announcements you can trigger right from your function buttons. I demonstrate both the departing and arriving announcements, and the standout detail is that you get them in both French and English. On function page three, I trigger the arriving announcement (F7), and you can hear how much “real railroad” flavor it adds to a modern passenger setup. If you’re modeling contemporary operations and want extra audio features beyond the usual prime mover and horn, this is a fun one. These Chargers are beautiful locomotives with a lot packed into them, so if you missed the full review, I definitely recommend checking it out—and grabbing one while you can at your favorite online retailer or local hobby shop.
