My channel has a variety of info about Model Railroading in many scales, primarily HO scale. I try to respond to everyone's questions to help them along with their journey. Overall, I hope my relaxed yet descriptive approach to modeling will assist those new and old in this great hobby. - James For Collaboration and Business inquiries, please use the contact information below: 📩 Email: jlwreviews@gmail.com 🔔 Subscribe to my channel for more videos: http://www.youtube.com/jlwii2000 ===================== Disclaimer: We do not accept any liability for any loss or damage which is incurred from you acting or not acting as a result of reading any of our publications. About This Video

In this video I take an in-depth look at Bachmann’s HO scale VIA Rail Canada Siemens SCV-42 Charger, the matching Venture cab car, and the Venture coach and business class cars. I start with a real unboxing (first take), go through the paperwork and TCS WOWSound quick start guide, and then I do a detailed 360 on the Charger—windshield wipers, number boards, ditch lights, pilot details, Easymate 2 couplers with magnetic glad hands, MU receptacles, and even those looped MU hoses on the rear. Up top you’ve got a lot of modern roof hardware too, including the horn detail and see-through fan grilles. Then I move to the cab car end, which is lighter because it’s not powered, but it still gives you DCC sound and lighting so you can operate from either end like the real thing. I show the passenger interiors, the roof differences (A/C fan grilles for the passenger space), and the lighting behavior across the whole consist—no flickering on my layout. I also cover the close couplers (they’re on every car), the function mapping (bell, horn, short horn, whoosh, brake, Rule 17 dim, and prime mover on the powered unit), and I run a speed test: ridiculously good slow speed control down around a third of a scale mile per hour, and about 84 scale mph on the top end. Overall, it’s a really nicely executed, aesthetically pleasing modern passenger consist, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite “train set” style consists to run.
