Generator Starts but Struggles to Stay Running

I am told that this Generac GP8000e starts, but immediately sounds like the engine is under load when no load is applied. Usually that is a sign that the stator has shorted out. The engine bogging is usually followed by smoke and fire if left running too long. So we need to double check things before the first start. Harbor Freight changed the recipe. The bottle previously stated "NON-CORROSIVE". Now it says "CORROSIVE", "do not user on Aluminum". It now damages most carburetors.
