Generac 4000XL - Too Much Power (High Voltage)

This Generac 4000XL was left by the prior owners at a property purchased by a subscriber. It had bad fuel in the tank and in non-running condition. He cleaned out the tank and installed a new carburetor and got it up and running. Fast forward to the next outage and he connected it to his house and found his HVAC system was not happy about the power it was receiving from the generator. He tested the output and found the voltage was too high. Lets see what went wrong with the automatic voltage regulator (AVR) and fix it.
